Frequently asked questions
What's a branching dialogue?
It's a conversation where each of your responses leads to a different continuation. Unlike a fixed script, you can run the same scenario multiple times and see how small word choices change the direction of the conversation — much closer to how real conversations work.
Do I need an account?
No. Every conversation is free to try without signing up. Logged-in users get completion tracking and can pick up where they left off.
Is there audio?
Yes — every Danish line has native-style audio. You can listen first, read the transcript, or both.
What topics do the conversations cover?
Everyday situations: introducing yourself, ordering food, asking for directions, making appointments, chatting with neighbours, handling phone calls. The scenarios are chosen so the vocabulary carries over into real-life Denmark.
I'm a complete beginner — should I start here?
Yes, but with the right level. Start with the A1 conversations, which are designed for absolute beginners and use simple, slow Danish. Pair them with our Essential Danish Phrases page if you need to pre-load some vocabulary.
